Ripping clifton’s
My clifton’s are ripping everywhere and Hoka couldn’t care less lol. I work in healthcare and I only wear them to and from the office. They began ripping after around two months right where my big toe bends. Both shoes were doing it. It starts spreading so after like 4-5 months I contact Hoka since they have a warranty program for a year.
They denied my claim and I asked for escalation. How can a $155 shoe rip like that by just walking ……. I figured I had a case since they didn’t show significant wear and the rips were huge and mirrored. Literally never had a sneaker rip like that. The “warranty analyst” said it was “wear and tear”. I sent numerous emails asking for clarification and just try to understand their definition of “wear and tear”. But they won’t talk to me anymore lol.
I’m frustrated that I spent that amount of money on a shoe that cannot even make it through a year. You can actually see my socks from the hole now on my right foot.
Writing this as a caution for anyone seeking Clifton shoes (after researching, this is a large issue for all models) or anyone who cares about customer service. Again, this has literally never happened to me with any shoe. Seems to me that Hoka doesn’t care about their quality or customer satisfaction. Think I’m going back to New Balance
