i was talking to my mum a few days ago and she mentioned that after my granny’s mum died, her aunt (her mum’s sister) started caring for her. my mum said they called her ‘granny barbara’ because that’s what she was to them.

went onto scotlandspeople to look for barbara as i did not have her in my tree, but nothing comes up. i tried different mother’s maiden names (her father married twice) but yet again nothing comes up.

she would have been Barbara Paterson/McColl/McKechnie, she would have (probably) been born between 1906-1929 in glasgow. all i know for certain is that she’s dead, but my mum doesn’t remember when.

any help would be appreciated trying to find her.
