I am currently exclusively breastfeeding my 3 month old and also taking 3g oral mesalazine for a recent diagnosis of UC. I started having symptoms and a very bad flair during pregnancy which I have been told is unusual (post partum is a more usual time).

I have read that mesalazine is excreted in breast milk. Only limited experience during lactation in women is available to date. 

So I am just reaching out to see if anyone else has taken mesalazine during pregnancy and how their experience was. Feeling stressed and nervous about the potential side effects for my baby as this is all very new to me :(
