Hi, i have a cheque execution case from 2023 from a bounced check for insufficient fund. I lost my job and been jobless until the end of 2024. This month I received a settlement request for the full amount and travel ban. I don't have any capacity to pay the amount due to financial difficulty. I am working but my salary now is enough only to cover living expenses and rent. I am also the breadwinner of the family and helping my mom for their expenses as my family (mom and brothers) are here in Dubai. What can I do ? I cant afford a lawyer and cannot risk going to jail as my family is relying on me. I want to settle but I don't have any large amount.
