Your advice for a senior (veteran) re-entering

I did Judo in my teenage years - against my parents wished who just wanted a "pretty girl". I tried my best to remember training, and show up to competition.

I had exams and then I had difficulties at home and my coach did not have my back, as well as pulled me from competition (I was barely able to train - so maybe rightfully so).

I changed Dojo but gave up soon.

My daughter is now U12 training in this dojo and competing.

Now - 25 years later I re-started (I had cancer and now I need to prove something to myself). i am 40 years old.

I am really ambitious- want to make my black belt, re-enter competition.... BUT

No one at my dojo seems to care?

We do not have any seniors competing- my former team-mates are trainers/judges... no one competing anymore.

I told the #2 of our dojo (the who is in charge of all training groups - what I wanted to do but because we have no specific group where I would fit I just was told to go 1xweek to the "fun group" - where its easygoing but not what I want.

So I asked the #1 (former headcoach) via text for a short talk. BUT he did not answer- and it is now a week ago. I did not see him in person...

What do I do?!

It seems weired so look for a different dojo (out of town) when my kid continues to compete for them....

AND I am totally embarrassed to just go to the training slot where he might coach and approach (1. he might not have time and 2. we did butt heads 25-years ago so we might not be at the best of terms?!)

I need advice on what to do next....
