Who Else Has A Overlord OC?

Rant about your Overlord OC.

hey! so I made a similar post about this where I held an open roleplay, inviting people to in character introduce their overlord OCs.

Though only one person responded to that post, so I figured Id just make a new discussion post about this!

(almost) all The Overlords in Hazbin are designed after different kinds of art forms. i was curious if anyone else used that pattern as inspiration for their own OC. I have an “ancient arts” Overlords OC named Coatl. What about all of you?

Overlord OCs Unite! (Open RP/ OC rant)

if you have an overlord OC, roleplay as em! in character introduce yourself

It’s an average day in the Pride Ring of Hell. Sinners rush up and down the streets in panic, as a swarm of overlords march down the road to Carmillas meeting. With the new year a surprising amount of new overlords have appeared, Carmilla called a meeting to introduce them all so hopefully tensions would ease between the new and old. One by one, each new overlord was called up to introduce themself. Carmilla just hoped no one would try to kill each other.

Hey! me again, lol. for those who haven’t seen my previous post about when to know how many chapters is too many, just know I struggle with doing too much when writing.

so far, in my book, I have 13 important character. the main cast basically. there are around five more but they aren’t as important. two die in the book, but I would consider five characters to be the MAIN characters. perspectives will swap in between chapters and a little over half way through the book, only four main characters remain. (one dies. spoiler.)

ive showed these 13 characters to friends and family and they all said VERY different things about the large cast. So once again I am turning to Reddit since IRL people are no help. What do you think? Is five main characters and an overall main CAST of 13 way too many? I’m strongly considering cutting a few, but they all serve different roles in representation, perspective and plot. So I’m not sure.

I just finished a rough outline for a fantasy novel I have in mind. If this rough draft does not change that much, I will have just short of 90 chapters. My goal to make each around 5-10 pages roughly. Could be a bit more or a bit less (less likely for a chapter to be less than 5 pages). One of my favorite fantasy novels Children of Blood and Bone, had 85 chapters in the first book, so my first instinct is to think it's not terrible to have such a long book. And please keep in mind this is a ROUGH story board that I will definitely edit and cut down. But what do you think? Would you say that 80 chapters is way too many? If so, what tips or ideas do you have for me on cutting? I simply want to know if you think that upwards of 80 chapters will negatively affect the book.

Rant about your OC!

Share your characters designs or lore or anything you want to share.,Ask for constructive criticism if you want it, but otherwise try to be respectful to each other.

I’m trying to get a few people gathered together before I start posting more regularly and stuff. So I figured just let people chat to each other for this post.

Meet Coatl, my first OC. The Overlord of ancient arts. You were sat down next to them during an event Charlie set up that she called “speed friending”. Just like speed dating basically but for making friends instead. you have a few minutes to chat, what do you say?
