Hi. I work in a mid-size city in the southeast for a small law firm doing family and juvenile law. I’m going into my 3rd year. I have a BA and a paralegal certification.

I incidentally caught sight of another paralegal’s salary. While she has more years of experience, she works for the associate attorney and I’m the paralegal for the partner. I also have a much heavier workload. She makes more than me and after having to fix mistakes and help her so much lately, it is starting to bother me. I don’t have many other paralegal friends so I don’t have any frames of references to work with to negotiate a raise.

Can you drop your salary and minimum billable hours so I can see if a conversation would be worth having regarding a raise?
