Wii remote not working even with dolphin sensor bar

So yesterday I bought a Dolphin sensor bar for my pc so I can play Wii games. I looked up videos on how to connect my Wii remote to my pc with the sensor bar, which was easy enough. However, when I booted up the Wii menu (as seen in the video), the buttons work, but the pointer finger isn't showing. Then, when I booted up Mario Kart (As seen in the video), the buttons stopped working. I made sure that Steam was completely closed out (including stopping it from running in the background), and nothing has worked. Am I missing something? Do I need to buy a dongle for my Wii Remote to make it work with Dolphin?
