so my '98 hdj101 with 250k kms has an occasional issue where the lock up clutch doesnt disengage on decelletarion until the car is very slow, almost stalls the engine when it happens. I also have a very small rev flare from 2nd to 3rd and 3rd to 4th when its cold and possibly only when I accelerate slowly. Im all read up on the torque converter issue woth these cars but am wondering if I should out it in for a service 1st to see what changes? Or should I just get a new converter in there while I'm at it? Im concerned about the revflare, hoping the trans isnt damaged. fluid level is spot on so it isnt that. what do you think? I'm taking predictions, no prize for the winner.
