All watches over 1k should come with a tracker and a kill switch
If we can make mechanical watches as advanced as they are now, there should be a tracker or way to track where your watch is if stolen and I mean to the exact location, not by serial numbers or any other metric. It has to be something you could only have removed by a professional and has to be obscure to find, as thieves won’t ever know where to look or what to do
As an example “ have a look at this! , that bastard who nicked my Nautilus last week has just walked into fucking Burger King!, wonder if I can catch him before they bag up the fries! “
There should also be a kill switch, to completely disable and even destroy the watches components from the inside. I’d even advise the likes of Rolex to make a fake dial to add to their watches, so if you’re going through London you press a button near the crown and the dial flips over to one that says something like “nobstorm” and it’s a really god awful leopard print design so anyone who tried nicking it will see it’s an Amazon shitter and refuse the theft.
