Roadmap to Become an AI Engineer (Need Advice)

I’m planning to start my journey to become an AI Engineer (beginner → pro). I’ve created a roadmap with the help of AI, and I’d really appreciate feedback from people who are already in this field or have experience.

Here’s my roadmap:
🚀 COMPLETE AI ENGINEER ROADMAP (BEGINNER → PRO)
🧠 PHASE 1: AI FOUNDATION (3 Weeks)
✔ Basics of AI
✔ Agents, Environment
✔ Search algorithms (BFS, DFS)
👉 Goal: Clear understanding of core concepts
📊 PHASE 2: MATH FOR AI (2–3 Weeks)
🎯 Goal: Math required for ML understanding
- Mean, Median, Mode
- Variance, Standard Deviation
- Probability basics
- Conditional Probability
- Vectors (basic idea)
- Matrices (addition, multiplication)
- Graph intuition 👉 Focus: Intuition over deep theory
💻 PHASE 3: PYTHON + TOOLS (2 Weeks)
🎯 Goal: Start coding
- Python basics (variables, loops, functions)
- Lists, dictionaries
- File handling Libraries:
- NumPy
- Pandas
- Matplotlib 👉 Goal: Be able to handle data
🤖 PHASE 4: MACHINE LEARNING CORE (5–6 Weeks)
🎯 Goal: Start building models
- ML basics (Supervised vs Unsupervised) Algorithms:
- Linear Regression
- Logistic Regression
- KNN
- Decision Trees Concepts:
- Overfitting / Underfitting
- Train/Test split
- Accuracy, Precision, Recall
🧠 PHASE 5: ADVANCED ML (3 Weeks)

- Hyperparameter tuning (basic)
🔥 PHASE 6: DEEP LEARNING (4 Weeks)

- RNN (sequence) Tools: TensorFlow / PyTorch

🎯 Goal: Become an engineer

📂 PHASE 8: PORTFOLIO + JOB READY

- 3–4 solid projects
- AI-focused resume
- LinkedIn profile
📅 DAILY SYSTEM (1 HOUR PLAN)
- 40 min → New topic
- 20 min → Revision / questions
📆 WEEKLY PLAN
- 5 days → Study
- 1 day → Revision
- 1 day → Test

- Don’t just watch videos → Write code & explain
- Don’t memorize → Understand & apply
- Don’t study alone → Discuss with a partner
I have about 4 days before I start, so I want to refine this roadmap as much as possible.
