I’m currently an active duty Air Force SrA looking to apply for OTS for a pilot slot and wanted to get some insight from those who’ve been through the process.
I’ll be graduating at the end of this year with a Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice, and I’m on track for around a 3.5 GPA. I’m currently studying for the AFOQT and plan to take it soon. I also have about 26 flight hours so far.
For those who have been selected (or are familiar with the process), what do you think my chances look like if I score well on the AFOQT? I know pilot slots are competitive, so I’m trying to gauge where I stand and what I can do to strengthen my package.
Any advice on improving competitiveness (PCSM, TBAS, leadership, etc.) would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
