Is the Canadian version of model 3 premium rwd equivalent to the Chinese version of model 3 long range rwd?
On the Tesla China website, the long range RWD version has a 0-100 of 5.2s, which is the same as the premium RWD version we will be getting in Canada. The premium RWD version in HK is still listed as 6.1s.
Checked Tesla Taiwan as well and it’s showing 5.2s for the premium RWD.
If you browse a couple more countries, you will notice some are 5.2s and some are 6.1s.
Interestingly, China is the only one that has “long range” in the version name with the 5.2s time. They still have a non-long range version that does 6.1s.
There were some discussions about the 0-100 time being updated to 6.1s for the Canadian version. At this point, it’s very likely that it will stay as 5.2s given that other countries are listing the same time.
Does anyone know what makes a “long range” version? And if the one we are getting in Canada is considered to be “long range” as well?
