Rydr Android beta is live, group motorcycle rides app

Hey everyone, the Android beta is finally here for those who were asking!

Rydr is a group motorcycle rides app built for riders who want to plan and ride together.

What you can do:

  • Create rides and invite friends to join
  • See all riders live on the map during a group ride
  • Plan routes with a draw tool shows distance and twist score
  • Turn-by-turn navigation
  • RSVP to rides and manage your group
  • Find other riders near you and add them as friends
  • Add your bikes to your profile

A couple of things to know:

  • To invite friends to rides, you need to add them as friends in the app first under Profile tab, just search for them in the "Add" subsection under your Profile. They need to have an account too, so get your riding mates to download it as well
  • This is an Internal beta, bugs are expected and your feedback directly shapes what gets built next

To join: DM me your Gmail address that you use in Play Store and I'll add you to the beta. Once added you'll receive a link to install it directly from the Play Store.

Mods, if this isn't allowed apologies, happy to remove.

Been working on this for months. It's called Rydr, basically a way to plan group rides with mates without the usual chaos of "where is everyone" texts.

What it does:

  • Plan a ride, set a meeting point on the map, invite riders with a code (or make it public)
  • Once the ride starts, everyone's on a live map, see where the group is in real time
  • Turn by turn voice nav through your helmet headset for whoever's leading
  • Broadcast status updates without holding up the group, fuel stop, running late, breakdown, whatever. The whole group can tap on you and navigate straight to your location if you need help
  • Save your favourite routes and reuse them

It's free, no ads, no tracking. iOS only for now https://apps.apple.com/us/app/rydr-group-rides/id6767027145

Genuinely looking for honest feedback what's broken, what's annoying, what's missing. I ride too so I'd rather hear "this sucks because X" than not hear it at all.

Cheers.

I’ve been making YouTube videos for a while, and I’ve always been curious about why retention drops. You can see the analytics dip, but it doesn’t give you any clues.

So, I created a little Mac app called Retention Lab. You simply drop your video in before you upload, and it gives you insights like how strong your hook is, how many cuts you make per minute, your speech rate and whether you’re repeating yourself. Everything runs locally, so nothing gets uploaded.

On macOS 26, it uses Apple Intelligence to create personalised coaching notes for each issue it finds, it’s like getting specific advice based on your numbers, not just general tips. It also uses AI to research up to date benchmarks for your video category in the background, so the targets it gives you are current.

For me, the most helpful thing has been importing my YouTube stats after a video goes live and comparing what the app predicted with what actually happened. After a few videos, you start to notice patterns in your own editing.

Here are a couple of things to keep in mind if you decide to try it: it’s only for Mac, and the speech analysis works best if you run it on a version of your video without background music over your voice.

It's a paid app with a launch price of $4.99, but I have 20 promo codes, just comment or DM me.
