We have a fish at our office that someone had brought in and after some time of responsibility being passed around and him being neglected, I’ve started taking care of him.

Upgraded him from the tiny tank he was in to a much larger tank and made sure he was good to be transferred. I know he’ll need a new one eventually s well. Followed everything along the guidelines from the Reddit and has tested great since the change. He’s seemed much more lively and active since the upgrade, don’t think it’s all stress related activeness.

However, today I did see a longer kind of stringy white/clear poop in the water. I wasn’t able to take a picture right away. The water today was a bit cloudier out of nowhere. He’s also got these little random white spots and has had them for a while, not sure if they’re just different colored scales or if it’s something to be worried about and look into treatment for or not? Any advice is welcome and needed.

Apologies for any ignorance, haven’t had a fish since I was a kid and had this one thrust on me. Just want to make sure he gets taken care of properly
