disclaimer: i am very new to this game so idk if this is how this game's social part works, but i've been very sensitive and salty these days. cut me some slack if you think im being way too salty, but to be fair, I AM.
I didnt actively search for friends by lighting everyone up, because i dont wanna bother anyone. i'm mostly a solo player (not by choice) but my very busy friend made me play it, he says it's a good game! it will be calming (true) and that i'll meet lots of friends (not true as of week 3 or 4 of playing sky, i think my friend set my expectations way too high)
I did, i met my first friend while i was trying to get permanent wing buffs from eden. we talked and all, and he brought me together gathering the wings we lost from eden together! yay! he said he wanted to play together again next time! we played together for a few days, i was always the one joining him, because he's always online first and i'd sometimes get online if he lights my candle and i get the notification that he lit my candle
last time we talked, i joined him first, as usual. he was just chilling alone. we talked and he asked if i wanted to candle run later, i wanted to shower first and asked he wait for me for 10 minutes or so. when i came back he was offline, okay, no biggie. people have their own lives, maybe he was busy. i played for a bit on my own and a few hours later he was online, and i joined him. we played for only a little, and then he said 'wait let me bring you somewhere', next thing i knew, he suddenly went offline. okay. no biggie. his phone always runs out of battery or whatever
and that was the last i've heard from him. he didnt even light my candle back, but oh. I KNOW HIS ASS WAS ONLINE. FEW DAYS PRIOR HE ASKED IF I WANT TO RUN EDEN TOGETHER, today i went to press on his name for fun idk why i do that, im bored lol. but he lost all his wings, indicating he did go run eden without me. indicating he is online and ignored that i lit his candle. his star remains bright in my friend list btw. he didn't claim the hearts or whatever i send him when i light someones candle. Him running eden without me even though we agreed to run together is not what bothers me, what bothers me is why did you suddenly disappear on me 2 times on the same day and never lit my candle back after that?? Did i just get ghosted?? on a damn social game??? IF YOU LIKE PLAYING ALONE JUST SAY SO, DONT BULLSHIT ME LIKE YOU LIKE PLAYING WITH ME??
what pisses me off the most wasn't even the ghosting. it's that he pretended to like playing with me. 'I'll never be annoyed by you ahaahha' BULLSHIT BULLSHIT BULLSHIT!!! IF YOU WANT TO PLAY ALONE, JUST SAY SO. DONT GO GHOSTING ME?? "Do you wanna run eden together next week??" AND THEN FUCKING GHOST ME also light my candle back bitch i want hearts for a new outfit i've been eyeing.
so then i didnt touch the game for days.
today, i decided to play the game, because ain't no way am i letting one bad social interaction ruin my new favourite game.
so i ran eden alone today since someone ghosted me. i got knocked by a rock and 2 fucking skykids NEAR ME chose to ignore me when i got knocked down. idk if this is a normal thing to happen in sky to choose to not help people when they lose their light if there is risk of their own lights involved, but im so serious when i said it couldnt have harmed them to help me. i dont know how to describe it, but im pretty sure the area they could've walked to me was fully shielded. i waited there for a few seconds hoping for someone to help a damsel in distress, and then realized no one was gonna help me. alright, im helping myself. in the process i lost 2 winged lights, i waited a little more, see if anyone takes pity on my lonely ass soloing eden moth. yeah, so no one did, no surprises there. and because i lost my wings which put me in a terrible mood, i quit because i don't want to play the game in a bad mood, and now im typing this shit down.
thank you for listening to my ted talk, i am genuinely not in a good mood today and i think i won't touch this game for another week. I'm just so pissed. 3 weeks of this game, first friend and it's already not going to hell. Genuinely, fuck this shit. drops mic for dramatic effect
tldr; i got ghosted by my first friend on sky who said he wanted to run eden together. i ran eden on my own and got ignored by 2 skykids when i lost my light and then i lost my winged light. now im pissed.
