Is haram to work there as a field agent? Or a Cybersecurity specialist? Or is it haram to work for the Institute at all?

Now the red string known as חוט השני or Kabbalah is a talisman worn by Jewish people to ward of evils spirits and in Hinduism people also wear it for good luck
The question is it haram for me as a Muslim to wear a red string bracelet (without any belief of protection or good luck)?
