My first SFF build - S400 Pro | R9 7940HX + RTX 5070 Ti
This is my first SFF build, and it had quite a few components from Chinese brands. I originally went with the Thermalright TR-TGFX 850, but it failed as soon as I plugged it in, so I returned it and swapped it for a Corsair SF850L. It works perfectly, though the SFX-L form factor and stiffer cables made cable management a bit difficult.
Also, I’m not sure if it’s the motherboard or the unusually thick RAM heatsink, but I tried 3 different coolers and they all hit the RAM. I finally had to mod the bracket a bit to shift the cooler to the left, as seen in the last photo. Luckily, this modt CPU has a massive aluminum cover so it was doable, even if the off-center contact makes it run a little hotter than if it were centered.

After some BIOS tuning: PBO Auto, CO -20, PPT 125W, and RAM at 6000-CL28 (1.4V), I scored 33,508 in multi-core and 1,911 in single-core on Cine R23. Max temps hit 82°C during the bench, but jumped to 90-95°C while gaming (Cyberpunk 2077). I set the PPT down to 95W, which kept gaming temps at 82-90°C with no impact to FPS. Meanwhile, the GPU stays around 64-70°C, all with an ambient temp of about 26°C.
