I have sebaceous hyperplasia that is resistant to other treatment (microneedling, chemical peels, electrocautery, topical tret), so went on accutane 20mg/day last Thurs. My skin has become red, inflamed, sore, and textured since. Doc said to discontinue for a week, since this texture/redness is worse than what I had with sebaceous hyperplasia.

Has anyone else had a similar reaction/purging when using low dose accutane for SH? If so how long did it take to resolve, what did you do, if anything, to handle it?
