Hey guys I need some tips for polishing geodes, I have these agatized coral geodes I cut this particular piece on a drop saw and it cut really quick. I polished up to 3000 grit. Here’s my pad sequence I used on a flat lap

60-140-225-325-600-1200-3000

I tried to spend about 5-6 minutes on the lower grits until scratches and grooves looked better, and I spent like 8-9 minutes on 600+ grit. Evidently there are still some imperfections. I think that the cutting may have left some areas higher and lower in different areas. Do you guys have any tips for polishing something like this up?
