Hair brush always dirty!
Hi,
I work on a farm so there's lots of dust and mess. I clean my hairbrush once every week or two, I shower every day or every other day. I use a cheap hairbrush from a supermarket that I got years ago. I believe it's called a paddle brush.
When I clean my hairbrush I take the hair out (I have quite long hair) then use alcohol wipes to get rid of the dirt (I don't like doing it because it hurts my fingers to do and takes up lots of wipes). But just a few days later there is SO MUCH DIRT on the bottom of the bristles which I have to scratch off using my nails and the wipes...
Is there a better type of hairbrush to be using? If I use a separate one for 'farm' hair (dirty hair) and another for clean hair I would forget and they'd get lost etc so thats not a sustainable option for me. I can't wear a hat a lot of the time, and my hair Is always up so I can't see any other things I can change to make my hairbrush cleaner other than the hairbrush itself. My hair always seems clean after I wash it, and if i've got covered in dust/ dirt during the day I will often condition my hair and extra time to ensure it is clean.
Any advice on how to keep my hairbrush clean and not horrible would be very much appreciated!! Thanks :)
TL;DR: I work on a farm so my hairbrush always gets dirty quickly, what can I do to help prevent this? Is there a better way to clean a hairbrush other than with alcohol wipes? Is there a specific type of hairbrush that would be a better option?
