I am 18/F. I got a tonsillectomy 2 days ago on the 28th and I’ve been eating solids from day 1. Basically rice and lentils, apple and potato mashed tho. I had boiled potatoes and raw onions as well. Yesterday on day 1, it was fine till I got home from the hospital and I couldn’t even swallow my saliva. My saliva got very thick and mucusy. I cried because my doctor didn’t prescribe ANY painkillers. So my mom bought me flexon. After that it stopped hurting as a lot. I took another flexon before sleeping and woke up with intense ear, jaw and throat pain. It was manageable but very intense and couldn’t even eat anything for my medicine so I took another flexon on an empty stomach and feel a lot better. The ear and jaw pain has gone away and I finally had some lentil soup. Is it normal for it to be this painful on day 2? How bad is this gonna get and how many times are you guys taking your pain meds?
