Dog pooping
Hi all,
I have a 6 year old mixed breed dog who I adopted about 5 years ago who has never had issues with using the restroom in the house. He is potty trained and has never had this issue as I mentioned before, he has always been an angel in terms of pee/poop activity. There has been no new moves/changing houses…we have been here well over a year and a half, no change in food, etc. the past two days he has been pooping in the house on the floor when myself and my partner are sleeping. I wake up to it on the floor, and the consistency is almost soft serve ice cream. Yes, I know this can be a sign of a GI. I have given him chicken and rice as of today and I have thoroughly cleaned the area he has been choosing to go in. I am wondering, when would it be time to take him to the vet? He has been drinking water, and seems to have no changes in his behavior or attitude but this is just extremely unusual for him. I am concerned and it has been keeping me up this evening because I don’t want him to be suffering while I am asleep. Thank you for any replies!
I understand this thread is not a place for me to get legitimate medical advice for my dog, I just wanted some tips or advice.
