I just got a job as a bus driver last month and while waiting for the process for my pcv licence I called up the dvla and they said that they sent it to my GP. I phoned my GP and they said it will take up to a month for them to send it back. So if im lucky the process will take over 2 months opposed to the 3 weeks of what I was told was typical.

Im confused why it was sent to my GP when I had no medical conditions in the form. When I enquired to the dvla they said it was my first time applying so they are checking just in case. Is this a new thing?
