Just picked up my car after a head gasket rebuild. I now have a new check engine light code that wasn’t there when I dropped it off. The shop says it’s unrelated and I’ll need to pay to fix it. I’m having a hard time coming to terms with that. It seems like new issues that come up while my car is in their possession should be on them, but I’m open to understanding the other side of things. Is this something that just happens sometimes?
Details: head gasket rebuild on a Prius, now they’re suggesting a new ECM to clear a bad O2 sensor code, I guess it’s not the sensor.
