




Hello everyone i am Osman Baskurt Swordsmith and researcher from Turkey speacialized on Ottoman / Mamluk Arms and Wootz / Bulad steel . I didnt share my works in here before so from now on i will be sharing them with you in here as well.
So first one will be :
18th/19th century style Late Period Ottoman Turkish kılıç ( Pala ). Blade forged from 6150 steel and engraved in embossed style with Rumi motives on both sides also ground decorated with 999k gold. In the middle of egravings silver wire inlayed with MaşAllah writing. Spine has a double fuller sperated by 1 mm line also balance point and percussion point is ornated with rumi tulip patterns on spine. Hilt is made from water buffalo horn. Guard is cast from brass and scabbard fittings forged from brass and scabbard covered with leather and spiral stitched.
Weight is 830 gr
Lenght is 82.5 cm
Width at guard and at yalman is 4.5 cm
T sectioned blade spine is 7 mm
P.o.b is at 15 cm from guard.
