Misunderstanding of the turn signal
I got my driver's license in 2022. A few months after i got it i did something really stupid. I was driving behind this car who drove very slowly. We drove in a tunnel. I felt really unpatient and was waiting for the perfect time where i could drive past it. When we got out of the tunnel, the car in front of us used the turn signal, and the first thought i had was that i could finally drive past them. I was about to drive past them, but i didn't look at which way they blinked. They didn't blink to the right to give me a signal to drive past them, they blinked to the left. And i ended up crashing into them. Luckily it wasn't very serious. No one got hurt, and the cars only got some minor injuries. I know it's been almost 4 years since that happened, and i've never done anything like that since, but i still think about it sometimes. I feel really ashamed and embarrassed that i did that, cus i don't know anyone who has ever done anything like that. Has anyone here experienced something similar? If not i would like some kind words to help me relax as this took a lot of courage to post😅
