Progress with my leash reactive dog
My dog is incredibly leash reactive to dogs and for a long while I was convinced I had made no progress in his training. Today he had a vet appointment and there were many other dogs in the lobby. He still reacted, but he was significantly calmer than in the past. He was pulling and whining, but in the past he would be screaming and lunging. There were even a few moments where he actively chose to look away from dogs for a short time. I'm sure to other owners in the lobby, he still seemed poorly behaved, but to me, this was amazing progress.
