All about clubs around KU and what they've been lacking.

NO AI WAS IN USE WRITING THIS.

Hi everyone, this post was a long time coming, I wanted to write this to clear the misconception of clubs.

Intro to clubs:

Each department mostly has their primary clubs, like KUCC,KUCEC,etc. These are the primary clubs of each of the departments. These clubs help organize events like Dirghayu (For Pharmacy), ITMeet (For Computer Science and Engineering), etc.

Despite these, there are clubs for Theater,Literature,Open Source, etc. These clubs are initiated by people who're quite interested in the craft and have a specific thing as their hobby.

Either of these clubs don't have a restriction towards the memberships or joining.

Opinion:

So, what do I think of clubs? They're not for everybody.

A club is supposed to be a place for people to hangout and have fun together while that may be a session of them telling how they like 'collecting things from places to keep them as a souvenir' or 'how they like making logos out of wax' either way, not everything is supposed to be formal.
But, as it is quite evident, that rather than it being that, due to commoditization and 'wokeness' (in the sense to collect all kinds of people interested and not interested) to join the club, it has become a place for debauchery of interest with a 'cooperate' looking session handed to you. If what you expect from a club is 'understanding about something new' then you're in the wrong place, you'll rather 'get to know' about something new that the person presenting is interested in.

Now, if you think you like something, like open source philosophy, you're not supposed to join the club. You're supposed to do it for yourself and explore what it really is.Try to work on it, learn about it, build an opinion and after all that, then it is better to join a club and get to know about other people's opinions.

Nature of clubs have been changed and gravitated towards cultivating interested towards the topic rather than making the interested people know more and interested. This is what we as students have been lacking.
