I have a predicament

For over 10 years I have been taking carbamazepine (Tegretol), as an anti-seizure med, and I have been seizure free for those 10 years. My Neurologist highly suggested I got off Carb and switch to Lamo which I did and have been on it for over a month now (Im off Carb now). But unfortunately I feel a lot worse than I did with Carb. I feel really dizzy everyday and it has been causing heart problems and my cognitive ability has worsened pretty bad and I get these specifically located head aches. So I went back to my neurologist and told them and they said "It looks like its not agreeing with you" then they put me on Oxcarbazepine, wheaning off Lamo. But on day one I had extreme anxiety and I was delirious and couldn't handle it so I stopped. Now I'm stuck on Lamo, the medication that is much worse than Carb (for me). And the whole reason I switched in the first place is because I was worried about the long term side effects and my Neurologist said "no one is taking Carb anymore it's a old drug, and you will feel a lot better if you get off carb (Because of the bad side effects)" but the thing is I wasn't even feeling the major side effects that people talk about, only the obvious ones that come with all seizure medications. So now I don't know what to do, I don't really want to go back to carb because of the bad long term side effects it carries, but also Lamo really doesn't work for me. If anyone has dealt with something similar or would like to shed some light on the situation that would be greatly appreciated
