If the party has a social encounter with a basilisk that has human-level intelligence (which it gained through dark magical rituals) and this basilisk is worshipped by a small group of serpent-men, in your personal DM style what would you do in this situation to surprise the party?
As a GM, have you had to manage players who seem to have a pattern of hopping from table to table and never fully committing to any gaming group?
How have you handled the situation?
In my personal experience, that social dynamic among players can be frustrating when trying to form committed groups.
