Hello,

I’m looking to paint a specific subject on the canvas pictured below. I’ve painted it black in oil and made the cut out. I want to make the hole look like it’s bursting out of the canvas and need to glue, fix, bond, the canvas flaps that surround the hole so they stick outward. I tried starch but it’s not solid enough. I’m looking for something that once it dries, the canvas in that area is solid . Suggestions?
