I'm not musically trained, so please forgive if i use the wrong words:
My phone was being repaired, so there was no shazam. The dashboard screen in the car normally displays the song being played, but maybe it no longer does or somehow I messed up that setting, but either way I heard a song on 94.1 [Rochester NY] that starts soft and beautiful, but becomes intense and rock/dance as it progressed. I LOVED this song, but didn't think until now to see if 94.1 has a Songs We Just Played part of their website and sure enough it does! But it doesn't go that far back on mobile.
Singer says something about running to a safe space but it was either heavily implied or directly stated that the person he is singing to is the safe space. I also would have sworn on my life the singer was saying "It has to be you" repeatedly in the chorus but the only songs that I am finding with this search are:
