Hi guys, I hope the tag is right!! Sorry I am really not familiar

I was looking through my childhood stuff and found a first appearance Lugia ghost Topps 2000. It's battered, corners are in rough shape, scratched on the front, even a tear at the top.

I know close to nothing about Pokemon cards but I looked it up of course... I am seething :(

What should be the first thing I do? Could it be fake? I have no memories of pulling it of course. Despite its condition, do you think it's worth doing something with it?
