It was the first single off the 4:13 Dream album and reached number 48 in the UK charts. Not the most successful period in the band's history...

This performance was on 16th June 2008 as part of the 4 Tour, at what was at the time called Charlotte Bobcats Arena but the venue had a name change later in the year to Warner Cable Arena.

This performance is gold! It's from De Melkweg in Amsterdam on 12th December 1979. It was televised on a show called Neon in the Netherlands.

This session was recorded on 4th December 1978 and was broadcast on John Peel's show on 11th December the same year.

This collection was released on the Strange Fruit label, who released a lot of sessions in 1988 for all sorts of bands that had been featured on the show.

I have chosen Track 3 this year - the superb Fire In Cairo.

The performance is taken from the infamous Festival Park Werchter in Belgium on 5th July 1981. Pissed off angry Robert is always good to watch!

I haven't got the deluxe edition yet as it's well out of my price range, but maybe I'll find it on my days out someday? I have heard the songs on it thanks to You Tube and I prefer the Robert voiced demos...

I adore this song.. It's very sad but those words are so real and the music is just sublime.

This performance was on the French TV show Nulle Part Ailleurs on 6th November 1996.

Me? I love it. Love all the different styles of songs. And I love the little toys featured on the sleeve and single covers.

It was the lowest selling Cure album at the time despite reaching number 9 in the UK charts.

This was the first album that Jason Cooper appeared on after replacing Boris Williams.

I have chosen Track 2 - Club America this year. I love Robert's deeper vocals on it.

Another album always in my top 4 or 5. I absolutely love all the songs and all the different moods in it.

I've chosen Track 2 of it - Birdmad Girl. My go to Cure song that cheers me up and pulls me out of the darkness. It's so catchy!

This performance was on 8th October 2013 at Monterrey Arena in Mexico. I wish they played it live more as it's a cracker!

The album reached number 10 in the UK charts.

An album permanently in my top 4. I listen to it so much and never get sick of it.

There always seems to be different dates cited for the release date but I am sure it's the 4th as it would not have been released on a bank holiday Monday - the shops would not have been open back then in 1982!!

The album reached Number 8 in the UK charts.

This year I have chosen Track 2 (and my current favourite on it) - A Short Term Effect.

Sadly the video I wanted to use was banned and taken down thanks to bloody IMG... and there are no other visual performances of this song anywhere, so this will have to do as a rushed alternative!

This performance was on the night the band split up (at the time) on The Pornography Tour at Ancienne Belgique in Brussels, Belgium on 11th June 1982.

It is a stunning piece of work - sublime songs! A very successful album, reaching number three on the UK charts.

This year I have chosen Track 2 - Pictures Of You. I was welling up making this... Just one of those songs that the lyrics and gorgeous music gets me in the heart every time I hear it.

This performance was at the Molson Amphitheatre in Toronto on 9th August 2004, as part of the Curiosa Festival.
