Hi all! Could do with a bit of advice!

I’m just a bit confused because I seem to be getting lots of conflicting info and I’m wanting to make sure i’m caring for my own and my partners boots correctly.

Things i’ve read online are as follows:

if you use saddle soap, you should follow using this with conditioner
you should not use conditioner and polish on the same garment (I have very much suffered the consequences of this in the past)

However, i’m just wondering, how am I then meant to clean boots and also polish them? When i’ve sat for Bootblacks before they’ve both cleaned and polished my boots.

Should i be using different products for cleaning? Do I need to condition after using saddle soap? Should I be both conditioning and polishing and is there a step i’m missing out that I should be doing in between these steps?

Any help would be really appreciated!
