incoming freshman (class of 2030) here who just committed to emory bc it was objectively the best college i got into

i’m kind of mourning the college life/experience i thought i would have…i applied to a lot of big state schools and im currently waitlisted at places like ucla, ut austin and umich and always thought i would end up at a bigger school. based on what I’ve heard the social scene is pretty dead @ emory but holding out hope to get into a school im waitlisted at isn’t fun

pls lmk why you love emory! (and give me some more insight into the social scene at emory if you have any)

EDIT: for everyone saying choose where you’ll be happiest and that might not be emory — my parents are paying my tuition and to them that means they get the final say and they said emory is it
