Career Advice
Hello!!
I’m looking for some advice. I recently earned my CPP certification after previously holding my FPC. I have 10 years of payroll experience 4 years at ADP and 6 years with my current employer in a shared services environment. I’m not a senior. My company is fairly large.
I have strong experience with garnishments, payroll tax laws, audits, multi-state payroll processing, and some exposure to Canadian payroll as well. I’ve worked in Dayforce, UKG, and ADP WFN environments. I truly feel I’m a valuable asset to my team, but my current salary is $77k ($80k + including bonus).
Since earning my CPP certification, I’ve been considering asking for a raise, but I’m honestly a little nervous about bringing it up. I’m located in NJ, where the cost of living is definitely not low.
I’d appreciate any advice or insight from others in the field
Also, I’ll take any advice on how to set myself apart from others.
