[Landlord-US-Missouri] Asking a tenant to vacate for renovations/repairs
I have owned the 4 unit building I live in for a year. In that year we have attempted to repair some of the plumbing issues in one of our units. The previous owner had contractors that either weren't licensed or just didnt care. This weekend we again bandaided a plumbing issue. The plumbing needs to be redone the constant leaks have damaged cabinets floors and ceilings. I have some safety concerns as a portion of her ceiling collapsed and has had to be replaced earlier this year. I wanted to let her finish out the year but the leases are month to month. I'm looking for some advise. I have lived in the building 6 years before buying and I know the previous owner wouldn't have cared and the tenants take that same attitude but I care. Is it okay to offer compensation and how much?
