Just a brief timline regarding our process this year (Edinburg/Harlingen FO):

  • Date filed: 17 Feb.
  • Biometrics Letter: 27 Feb.
  • Biometrics Appointment: 30 Mar.
  • Interview Letter: 3 Apr.
  • Interview: Completed this morning (7 May)

No cards mailed/produced as of yet (we also filed I-765). Towards the end, our interviewer said, “everything looks good,” and “all seems to be in order.” Our lawyer, who's sat with other clients with this agent, said she's usually pretty stiff and it's rare when she says things like "everything looks good," which gives us some hope. However she added, “I can’t approve this today because her fingerprints haven’t been updated/refreshed.” From what I understand, on the 26th or 27th of April, USCIS apparently has a new system for fingerprints and because of this, my wife’s fingerprints aren’t up to date. Would the case here be that we may have to go back to re-fingerprint or would we just have to sit and wait it out? Any insight is welcome here, thanks.

Copped a 27” Thunderbolt Display last week in really good condition for 170 bucks, to finish my home setup with my M1 MacBook Pro. The mouse (A1296) and keyboard (A1314) were basically free, they came from my parents’ home office they were cleaning out about a month ago, these were spares sitting in their boxes, unused. Also have a 1st gen iPad Pro I can use as a document reader/small 2nd display, too. All in all I paid less than 250 to put all this together given I just needed the display and the adapter.
