That’s the first question I ask my students before we dive into a script. I’ve realized that the best plays aren't the ones that follow a formula, but that align what's in the playwright's head with what's on the page. As such, I'm starting script consultancy that moves away from "critique" and toward a conversation.

I'm looking for three playwrights for Pay-What-You-Can sessions to kick this thing. I’m also doing an ongoing monthly free lottery for one full-length script review.

I'm an Assistant Professor of Theatre at a liberal arts university, and I'm looking to bring my expertise to help playwrights get their scripts to where they want to be.
