I (50m with astigmatism) live in a non-English-speaking country. My prescription changed so I had new glasses made - progressive lenses. However, they are less comfortable than my old glasses (which were also progressive) and I can only read in a small area of my visual field, basically at the bottom inside of the lens in an area about 2cm by 1cm.

I’ve had difficulty explaining this to the optician but they are very certain that the lenses they have made follow my prescription.

I am unsure how to read the prescription, can anyone help me compare them?

Or, can anyone suggest why this might be happening? Is it just my astigmatism getting worse?
