Does anyone know how BOP is adjusted in LMU is it based on real life performance or based on cars performance in game?

Since we keep getting new metas id assume its based on the cars in game performance like how mustang was a great car to drive and now it rubbish and all of a sudden the Corvete is one of the best to drive. But on the other hand I swear I heard that its based on real world WEC BOP

So can someone let me know please thanks : )
