Whats worse starting a game before 5pm on the west coast or ending a game after 1am on the east coast?

Even the east coast game today will end at 10:30-11pm when 80% of the country lives on the east coast. Every year the sports leagues cater more and more to the relatively small percentage of the country living on the west coast. I dont think anyone cares if games starts before 5pm over there but nobody wants games to end so late. I dont even think the national viewership stats supports the game times we are seeing so Im just confused.
