Legit EC1000 ? Any info would be much appreciated

Looking to buy this used. Guy wants 500$ for it and I’m concerned about the authenticity. He says he bought it around 2009. Most of that year I see has the old ESP binding. Also this has a satin body with a gloss neck which seems a little odd. Any advice would be nice. I emailed ESP with the serial number but am awaiting a response. Any input would be nice thank you !
