I do honestly think Tatanga could appear in the third movie.
You see, with the first film, the post-credits showed us Yoshi, a new protagonist, who eventually made his debut alongside Bowser Jr., a new iconic antagonist who has a direct history with Yoshi in his home series, and Wart, a new obscure antagonist. With this film, the post-credits showed us Daisy, a new protagonist, who arguably has a direct history with Wario, an iconic antagonist, since they both debuted in the Land games, as did Tatanga, an obscure antagonist just like Wart. Do you see the pattern here?

Yes, Bonnie's raw model is blue, he just *looks* purple in-game due to the lighting. Also, if Lanky Kong and Tai Lung seem like confusing inclusions, they're heavily associated with the color blue in their respective home media despite not really being predominantly blue themselves.
