18F, Positive D-Dimer, Chest Pain W/ Respiration, Dismissed w Syncope Diagnosis
Hey guys I’ve never been seriously sick before, the last time I had surgery was to get my wisdom teeth removed and i recovered in 2 days with barely any pain medicine.
A couple days ago my roommate found me face down after I passed out trying to go to the bathroom. I went to my college clinic and the doctor said it was a migraine and could cause you to pass out.
The medics came and my blood pressure was in stage 2 hypertensive crisis, they accused me of being pregnant and also taking diet pills - (my roommates prescribed pills because I fell on her side) (😭 I can’t even drink or smoke weed i’m afraid of not being in control)
My blood Ox was 85 and my BP was 160/93. I couldn’t move my arms or my legs but I could hear everything, they made me lay shirtless in the ER bay for almost an hour while they basically rubbed my sternum raw, and the doctor pinched me so hard I still have the bruise.
I’m deathly afraid of needles and I couldn’t even react to the IV, so as much as people say it’s mental, I find it hard to believe it’s not.
The charge nurse and doctor both recommended I be medicated for anxiety and go on a retreat or something. Ive been nervous before, i’ve cried so hard i’ve turned red. But never in my life have I sent myself to the hospital.
