University of Illinois PreReq question

Hello! I am looking into the prereq requirements for the UofI in illinois, and saw that they need 15 hours total of chemistry. I have completed five in organic, three in biochem, and four in a one semester chemistry course. That means I have three credit hours remaining to fill that. Could I take the first semester of a two semester general chemistry class? Or would I need to take both semesters for them to accept that? If anyone with specific knowledge from UofI could help that would be great, thank you!

Hello! I hope this is not a repeat of a common question, but I am looking for some advice regarding vet school. I am not currently on the path to vet school, but I am beginning to wonder if maybe I want to change course. I am a crop/soil science and agronomy major, and I have a 4.0 cumulative. Yes, it would be quite the switch as a Junior, but the good news is I have a lot of prereqs for vet school done within that major, like biochemistry, physics, and genetics. However, some of the classes I have taken either don't count since they were one semester versions, like orgo, and gen chem (even with both having lab).

Would it be worth it trying to fit the remaining classes into my last year? Or should I just be looking into schools where I already fit the prereqs, as I would have to basically retake a lot of classes to do the two semester versions? And yes I know there is a lot more that goes into applying for vet school, I am just thinking through this step. Thank you for any advice! I'm just worried that if I do decide to change paths, I am too late.
