Too much sun?
Two years ago a friend gave me a Japanese Maple she was trying hard to kill. I have no idea what kind it is, but I’m wondering if it needs more shade? It lost all its leaves in Aug last year. I live in the south, zone 8a. This year it has leafed out well, but a few leaves are curling up and looking crispy already. It gets morning shade, and about 4 hours of direct sun in the afternoon. I’d like to move it now while it’s young if needed. If this is normal then I’ll leave it be.
