I was travelling back to Canada from Paris and the flight attendant noticed the crack on my PR card, he let me board the flight. That’s the first time even I saw the crack, not sure how it happened. I always keep my card safely in a pouch only used during travelling.
In Toronto, the card scanned easily so no issues with barcode. The card is intact. I’m travelling to US this summer, should I reapply for a PR card? I’ll be eligible for citizenship by end of summer. What is the rough timeline to get the card back?
As per rules, I’m planning to submit reapplication due to damage but just wanted to know others thoughts and experiences.
